In September of 2004, Korea Ice Hockey Association for Disabled was founded with the first president Mr. Gyeong-Pil, Nam.

Achievements:

July 1998

In July of 1998, it was the beginning of the Korean sledge hockey history by the CEO Seong-Geun, Lee of ReCom Medical with the support of myelopathy foundation of Yonsei rehabilitation hospital.

They invited Japanese team for the exhibition game, and the workshop was held.

April 2006

In April of 2006, Korean Paralympic Committee approved our federation to join as a member federation.

March 2010

In 2010 Vancouver Winter Paralympics, Korean team took 6th place. It was the first Paralympic experience of Korean team.

March 2014

In 2014 Sochi Winter Paralympics, Korean team took 7th place.

March 2018

In 2018 Pyeongchang Paralympic Winter Games, Korean team got a bronze medal, which was the first paralympic medal ever of Korean team.

Interesting news:

Last January, we competed in 2019 Torino PIH cup. And we got the 1st place for the first time ever in Torino. We won all the 5 games during the championships against Italy, Norway and Slovakia. It was one of the most historical and remarkable moment of Korean team.

Plan & Expectation for World Championships:

Our Expectation: Our teammates are very excited with the new tournament system of World championships. Also we cannot wait to see the cooperation between old boys who were playing during the 2018 Paralympics in Pyeongchang and newbies who just joined from this season.

Our Plan: The tournament system has been changed recently, so we just set the new goal with that system. All the team members worked hard to keep remain in the A-Group after the 2019 IPC PIH WCH in Ostrava, Czech
