Italian team was founded in 2004 and with their hard progress came few achievements along the way:

European Champion in 2011 and Silver medalist at Euros in 2016, 4 participations at Winter Paralympics (2006-2010-2014-2018), with the best result last year in PyeongChang. Best result at World Championships: 5th place in Korea, 2017

Goals for upcoming championships are clear for Italy. As Florian Planker, Italian ”flagbearer at 2018 Winter Paralympics”, said: «We want to save our place in the First Division. If we play well, we can focus a top 5 place. The best team in the tournament will be Canada, Us and Korea… we are just below them and we will fight to do our best!»
