Leaders Of The World Para Ice Hockey During The Control Day Before The World Championships

The delegation of the World Para Ice Hockey has arrived in Ostrava during these past days. The main manager Barbora Kohoutová (WPIH) was very satisfied with the preparation of the Ostrava 2019 World Para Ice Hockey Championships. The critical eye of the international federation has given a pass to not only the accommodation capacities, but also the ice hockey changing rooms or the functioning of the local organizing committee itself. “The visit was very successful and especially productive. The official hotel offers quality facilities not only for all players but also for the guests of the championships. The Local Organizing Committee has done a deal of great work so far. Certainly, in the coming weeks, everything will be fine-tuned to make them truly unforgettable championships, “said the World Para Ice Hockey manager Barbora Kohoutová. “We, as a local organizing committee, must, of course, meet a whole range of international conditions and criteria, not only in terms of accommodation for all national teams, but it is also important to ensure smooth transport to Ostrava and around the city itself. We also have a big goal ahead of us. We want to attract thousands of spectators to see para hockey. We have a great background in the city, “added Jiří Šindler, Chairman of the Ostrava 2019 World Para Ice Hockey Championships organization team.

The World Championships organizing committee is currently preparing the launch ticket pre-sales. In the upcoming days, an educational program will be launched at schools called the Paralympic School Days. The organizing team will also pay attention to the official mascot of the championships.

Samosan, the mascot penguin, has already attracted the general public and will certainly be a great guide of the entire Ostrava 2019 World Para Ice Hockey Championships.
