Para Hockey Training Motivated Vítkovice Players To Triumph Over The Champ

The opening press conferences for the Ostrava Para Ice Hockey World
Championships were also accompanied by the ice hockey club HC VÍTKOVICE RIDERA on the ice of OSTRAVAR ARENA. The interesting experience during sledge seemed to have helped them enough because that night they managed to defeat the top league dominant team from Brno.

The player from the top league hockey team HC VÍTKOVICE RIDERA had to be
present during the Ostrava world para hockey championships press conference that
was held directly on the ice of OSTRAVAR ARENA. Some people were admiring
from afar all the things that could be done on the sledge, others, however, were not
afraid to try the “hockey sledge” themselves. And also, perhaps, it was this
experience that contributed to the fact that the Ostrava hockey players managed to
defeat the top league champion team, Kometa Brno, that has been the leading team
for two years.

“No, no, we have a match with Kometa in the evening, I wouldn’t want to hurt myself,“ said Vítkovic forward Jakub Lev with an overwhelming grin, who with thanks refused to try para hockey in practice. In the match against Brno he scored twice. His fellow defense teammate, Jan Vytisk, did not hesitate and practically without an invitation he settled into the sledge, tried to move on ice and shot at the gate. And in the evening he scored the winning goal of his team against the acting top league champion.

“Morning para training helped me a lot. It is true that I did not shoot too much in the morning, but I left it for the evening and did it, clearly, ” the Vítkovice bearded man smiled, reminding everyone of a Viking warrior with his image.

With regard to how the experience of sledge energized Jan Výtisk in the top league
battle with the Kometa team, Jakub Lev rethought his attitude. “Well, maybe it’s a
shame that I did not try it, it could charge me up, like Honza Výtisk,” he laughed. “But I’m sure it still awaits me. We are talking to the organizers that we will try it. We’d like to try and get to know ourselves that it’s even harder than our hockey. According to what I was able to see, I have the impression that para hockey is harder by three hundred percent, ” the Vítkovice player said.

The Ostrava hockey players achieved four victories in a row after the success with
the Brno champion team, thus moving to the second position in the league table. On
Sunday, they did not manage to win against Hradec Kralove but the battle for the
long-term base did not end and the Vítkovice team continue to approach the top
divisions.
